About this programme

Wedding floristry is a different discipline from everyday arrangement. The timelines are tighter, the stakes feel higher, and the mechanics of a wired bouquet are completely different from a hand-tied one.

The practical side of wedding work

This course was built around the actual workflow of a wedding day. You will learn how to wire and tape delicate blooms so they hold their shape for eight hours, how to build a cascading bouquet with a secure internal structure, and how to condition flowers so they peak on the day rather than the day before.

We also cover the logistics that trip up new designers: how much stem length to leave for an arch installation, how to anchor arrangements in urns and pedestals, and how to pack finished work for transport without crushing it.

Design decisions, not just mechanics

Flower selection for weddings involves working with a budget and a brief simultaneously. Several lessons focus on substituting flowers when a requested variety is out of season or over budget, without the client noticing the difference.

By the end you will have built a bridal bouquet, two buttonholes, a table centrepiece, and a small arch section. The course does not promise you clients, but it gives you the technical confidence to take them on.
